A New Day
We traveled to Guatemala last week with the intention of looking at a school for our daughter and a place to call home all the while thinking as I boarded the plane, “I have no clue as to what I am looking for.” However, I was completely conscious that Willene and I were taking the next step to solidifying our commitment to follow Christ wherever He chose to take us. Wow! It becomes more profound every time I think of it. There is a temptation to start looking at ones self and examining the complete inadequacy of ones abilities. So many times over the last five days I would rise early and venture over to a window and view a city of 4 million Guatemalans and think, “how can we make a difference?” God has not yet chosen to reveal the entire answer to this question but nonetheless He desires our obedience as we follow Him. In Isaiah the prophet writes…
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD
“For the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9 (NASB95)
