Bobby & Willene Byrd are North Carolina natives. Bobby currently serves as Vice President of The Byrd’s Group, a regional landscape management firm where he is responsible for sales, marketing and financial oversight.
Willene attended CPCC where she earned a A.A. in Management Information Systems prior to completing a B.S. at Gardner Webb University. She earned a teaching certificate from UNC at Charlotte and has taught elementary education for 10 years at Hickory Grove Baptist Christian School.
Together they have committed to following God’s leading to serve as Central American Director of Missions in Guatemala where they will focus on pastoral support, missions support, and church planting. They are passionate individuals whose heart’s desire is to see others come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Bobby & Willene have served together in ministry in evangelism, as leaders of a Singles Class, and assembly coordinators at Hickory Grove Baptist Church for 6 years. They have been serving in the youth and evangelism ministry at Camino del Rey since 2006.

Saw Bobby’s pet Scorpion today on FB. It was great to see you at the market in July. Just wanted to let you know that Kyle will be coming to live at Casa Para Ninos Aleluya this next week. It’s such a blessing to me for him to go serve these precious children but my heart will miss him so much!!! You know what I mean I’m sure. But anyway I am praying for you guys today for God’s protection and to bless your ministry! i am so thankful for what you are doing there. I only wish I could be there too!! Maybe one day who knows……. only God, right? Have a great day 😉
