Doug Nemec, MD

Doug, an anesthesiologist and pain specialist, served as the Chief of Anesthesia at Salem Veterans Administration Hospital for over three decades. Married to Nancy for 39 years, they have raised three children. He resides on a 32-acre hobby farm in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, where he raises beef for his family. As a devout member of a rural Baptist church, he fulfills the roles of deacon, small group member, and safety team member.

For over 35 years, Doug has lived in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and has a passion for missions, demonstrated by numerous short-term medical mission trips to various Latin American countries. These clinics have served to disseminate the gospel by addressing the physical needs of communities and highlighting local churches.
