Chris and his wife, Shannon, have celebrated over 32 years of marriage. Together, they have two children, Nick and Hilary, as well as four grandchildren. Residing in Powhatan, VA, they are active members of Red Lane Baptist Church. Chris leads an adult small group, assists in children's church, and co-leads the Wednesday night children's program.
A Virginia Tech alumnus, Chris majored in accounting. He began his career at Advance Auto Parts, where he progressed through various roles, eventually becoming the Director of Accounting Operations. There, he managed a team of over 75 associates responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue, and Inventory Accounting. After a 27-year tenure, Chris transitioned to CarMax in June 2017 as the Director of Accounting Transformation, prompting his family's move to Powhatan.
