I Surrender ALL

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine according to the power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20

Today started off with high hopes. We were off to the bank to set up our Guatemalan bank account. The bank is close to our house and that is a big plus. We pull up and go inside, what looks to me like Fort Knox instead of a bank, I mean no one is getting any money from here so I am feeling pretty good. We get in line and wait for a gooood loooong while, but that is OK because we wait for everything here.  Finally they call us to the desk where proudly we tell the lady that we are here to open up our bank account and show her our passorts, which we both had. She looks at both of us and proceeds to talk, and I am sure the look on my face was blank because my banking vocabulary is very limited, but I did understand that we had to bring in a light bill and then something else that I knew we didn’t have. I found out after we left the “other thing” was a Guatemalan co-signer, well that should be easy seems how we have met sooo many Guatemalans that would just go and sign for us. We leave deflated because in order to get any of our money from the US we need to transfer it to a bank so we can get a car, which by the way the rental car is quickly running up the tab. By the look on Bobby’s face I thought that we were going to go home pack up our things, pick Taylor up and head straight to the airport, but instead we stopped and prayed to our Father, who sees all things and nothing comes as a surprise to Him. To make this long story short, by the time dinner was ready – oh by the way we had baked spaghetti – our neighbor had told Bobby that he would co-sign for us, who we just met 2 weeks ago and then our landlady called and said that she was taking us to the bank Friday and sign for us.

God took our breath away as He gently reminded me that He is our provider and all my trust is in Him and Him alone. Bobby and I had hit a brick wall, but God was on the other side with everything all worked out and not just worked out, but immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine. What a blessing! My hope lies in eternity because it is all for His Kingdom!
