Casa en Guatemala

The One who calls us is faithful and He will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:24

Bobby and I spent 5 days in Guatemala looking for a house. I had prayed for weeks before for God to show us His house for us. By the fourth day we had only seen two houses and had spent hours driving around trying to look for places. It was at times frustrating because all the condos and neighborhoods were secured areas and we were unable to drive through. The last day we met with a Realtor, who turned out to be a Christian, and he showed us a list of houses to look at. We drove around all morning and still felt no peace about the places we had seen. We were down to the last house and it was out of our price range. Our Realtor had already called and marked it off the list, but the owner had called him back and requested that we come anyway to see it. When we walked in the door an overwhelming peace engulfed us and I knew this was the house. Bobby looked and me and said, “This house is out of our price range.” As we talked with the lady who owned the house we found that she was a Christian also. The house had been sitting for over a year and we were the first potential renters she had showed it to. I was prepared to walk out and turn it down when she miraculously dropped the rent into our price range. God always shows up and when He does things get exciting. Our faith was increased that day! God took my breath away and He never ceases to amaze me!

It’s not really about the house – it’s about His faithfulness and His plan. He shows up in the big things and the little things. As a wise pastor said, “we walk around in victory!” I am experiencing this as He leads us to Guatemala. Gloria a Dios!

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador… Ephesians 6:19-20a
